RUG FOLDING AND PACKAGING MACHINES
Our automated end-of-line solutions for rugs, carpets, and rug pads
The global rug, carpet and rug pad industry is continuously evolving, with manufacturers facing increasing demands for higher productivity, consistent product quality, and lower logistics costs. Automated rug folding and packaging machines have become essential for optimizing end-of-line operations, reducing manual handling, and improving packaging efficiency.
Brighi designs and manufactures automatic rug and rug pad folding and packaging solutions, capable of handling different product sizes, materials, and folding configurations while seamlessly integrating with existing production and packaging lines. Our solutions combine industrial automation, product handling, folding and packaging into one integrated system.
WHY AUTOMATED RUG FOLDING MATTERS:

space
optimization
Folding reduces the volume of carpets and rugs, optimizing storage space and making the most of the space inside the containers.

reduced
packaging costs
Folding reduces the need for oversized packaging materials and simplifies the process, lowering overall handling costs.

increased
efficiency
The automated bending process can increase production efficiency by up to 45%, reducing processing times and minimizing manual operations.
PROCESSING STEPS
Our automatic rug folding and packaging solutions are designed to adapt to different production layouts and automation levels. Depending on the manufacturing process, rugs can be loaded directly on the machine by the operator or automatically unrolled before entering the folding station. After that, products can be transferred for subsequent rolling, packaging, and handling operations.
LOADING AND UNROLLING
Once loaded, the machine unrolls the material using motorized rollers that apply uniform pressure, ensuring a smooth and controlled flattening process without deformation. The rollers automatically adapt to different thicknesses and lengths, guaranteeing consistent unrolling while protecting both delicate and heavy-duty materials.
AUTOMATIC FOLDING
The machine can be configured for double, triple, or custom folds, and all settings can be tailored to the product’s size and material. Folding occurs smoothly and precisely, preserving fiber integrity while ensuring high speed and accuracy — all without manual intervention.
RUG ROLL PACKING
Once rolled, the product can be integrated with automatic labeling, and palletizing systems, creating a complete rug handling and end-of-line packaging solution tailored to the customer's production line.
RUG FLAT PACKING
The compression level is fully adjustable, allowing the machine to adapt to different rug thicknesses, materials, and packaging requirements while preserving product quality.
Product Types
Our rugs folding and packaging machine are designed to handle a wide variety of products, covering multiple materials, shapes, and dimensions.

CARPETS (MOQUETTE AND BROADLOOM CARPETS)
Designed for large surface coverage, carpets must ensure durability, stability, and long lifespan.
Produced in rolls or modules, they benefit from automated folding and handling, which speed up packaging and minimize deformation risks.
RUGS (DECORATIVE CARPETS)
Available in many shapes and sizes, rugs are ideal for defining spaces and enhancing comfort and aesthetics.
Made from wool, cotton, or synthetic fibers, they are precisely finished and folded to guarantee a smooth surface and flawless presentation.

RUG PADS AND UNDERLAYS
Rug pads are meant to improve grip, comfort, and floor protection. Made from foam, rubber, latex or felt, they are processed for immediate packaging and are fully compatible with automated production and packing lines.
